The butter LONDON colour palette and packaging was designed by one of Europe's leading nail technicians, our Creative Director, Nonie Creme. It is already gaining international press and excitement from the world's top beauty editors. W magazine, Marie Claire, Lucky magazine, and Tatler magazine UK are all fans of our products, and people around the world are now seeking them out. With clients like Vogue, H&M and Jimmy Choo, Nonie understands how to bring fashion to the brand and to your nails!

We do not offer any false nails services. We are committed to nail health and do not condone the use of enhancements, which damage the nail and put our clients and staff at risk by exposure to toxins.

TURN IN YOUR TOXINS

Many major nail care brands use FORMALDEHYDE, TOLUENE and DBP in their polish formulations. The use of toxic chemicals in nail products has long been the standard and many beauty companies have built successful businesses on this unmonitored practice. The cost of using Formaldehyde, Toluene, and DBP is cheap. The cost to your health might not be. Consumers are often completely in the dark about what they are buying and might never know about the hazardous ingredients they are using. The three chemicals; Fomaldehyde, Toluene and DBP can cause cancer, birth defects, respiratory problems, neurological damage, the list goes on. Now what?

Welcome to butter LONDON.
Colour, not carcinogens.

butter LONDON products contain NO Formaldehyde, NO Toluene, NO DBP, and NEVER have.

Our 3 Free lacquers are also heavily pigmented. This means that the colours are richer, deeper and more vibrant on the nail. Colour goes on and DOES NOT fade over time.

It’s true, we are a bit mad, but we are also so proud of our stunning product line that we know you will be converted. With 45 bespoke shades, and 5 amazing nail treatments, there’s no reason not to be. Our colour palette is truly unique, and can be seen on celebrities and catwalks around the world.

THE CONCEPT

The butter LONDON concept was founded in 2005 when Sasha Muir, CEO found herself frustrated with the available choices of nail services in Seattle. Neighbourhood nail salons offered little in the way of hygiene and product selection. Larger day spas required her to make an appointment and often services took longer than the time she had available (not to mention the expense).

When she took a closer look at the industry, Sasha recognized the need for a company to bridge the growing gap between high and low-end nail salons. She developed the butter LONDON concept to not only fulfil the market demand, but also redefine the entire nail care industry through unheard of salary and benefits, hygiene guarantees, and excellent on the job training.

Once the business concept was mapped out Creative Director, Nonie Creme, was brought on board to design the signature services that give butter LONDON customers the best result in less time - every time, further develop butter LONDON brand, and create the non-toxic product line.

THE FOUNDERS

Sasha Muir, Founder and CEO
Prior to moving to Seattle, Sasha earned a Masters in Engineering from Cambridge, UK and an MBA from INSEAD, France. Following a thriving career as a Management Consultant, Sasha set out to build a business that would redefine an entire industry and offer a fulfilling and nurturing environment for its employees. As the first and only U.S. manicure and pedicure brand, butter LONDON is transforming the fragmented and historically downtrodden nail care industry.

Nonie Creme, Creative Director
Nonie holds a BA in Art History and Fine Arts from Scripps University in California and has always had a passion for nails and fashion. Her desire to work in both arenas led her to become a sought after, high-fashion session manicurist. Nonie's work for clients such as Kate Moss, Vogue, H&M, Jimmy Choo, and Lancome, has resulted in her being recognised as London's leading manicurist. She now turns her hand to training, product design, and development for butter LONDON, bringing stunning, non-toxic nail care to the market.
